The film “Day Zero” is an Iranian action–thriller directed and produced by Saeed Malekan, with a screenplay co-written by Bahram Tavakoli and Saeed Malekan, released in 2019.
The cast includes Amir Jadidi, Saed Soheili, Tino Salehi, Sina Shafiei, Mohammadreza Maleki, Mehdi Ghorbani, Reza Khodadadbeigi, Abolfazl Amiri, Abolfazl Saffari, Mohammad Ali Rajpout, Milad Yazdani, Hamidreza Soleimanirad, Ebrahim Barzideh, and Mohammad Daghari.
The project’s executive producer is Kiomars Abbasi Nodeh.
“Day Zero” premiered at the 38th Fajr Film Festival, where it was nominated in 12 categories and won five awards, including Crystal Simorghs for Best Production Design and Costume Design, Best Special Effects, Best Film from a National Perspective, Jury’s Special Award, and Best First Feature Film.
